About Camp Forktail Creek
Camp Forktail Creek is a forest home surrounded by dense Sal forests and moist jungles. It is the only
jungle camp of its kind on the periphery of Corbett Tiger Reserve offering exclusivity in game viewing, great
walks and explorations on foot and jeep.
Occupying about five acres of regenerated forest land with only eight well spaced out mud huts, the Camp
offers the utmost privacy and comfort to guests while ensuring that they have an authentic jungle
experience.
Beautifully located on the fringes of Corbett Tiger Reserve, Camp Forktail Creek has extremely skilled
trackers, field guides and naturalists in residence. The area around the Camp has been regenerated by
Camp staff, and guests today can sight rare birds and animals from the comfort of their verandahs! Lush
flora and fauna abound around the Camp, owing to the huge altitudinal variation in and around the Tiger
Reserve.
The Camp also organizes short and multi-day trips into the jungle for birding, angling, elephant back safaris
and more. Camp Forktail Creek offers a unique and exciting Mahout Training Programme which enables
visitors to learn how to communicate and bond with elephants.
Additionally, it can also tailor journeys to suit specific guest requirements, and arrange comfortable
accommodations in old and atmospheric Forest Rest Houses in the Himalayas.
