‘We have found heaven on earth. My mom is lost for words as she thinks it is all so perfect…in 40+ years
she was never been lost for words! So we are very much enjoying the peace. Food is incredible, everything
1000 X better than anywhere else we have stayed (maybe apart from the aircon!). And so pleased to see
nothing has changed since our very first visit. 10 years ago’.

‘Where to begin? We have had such a fabulous time here, not only at Forktail but also in the jungle
resthouses. We have eaten like rajahs and been looked after and pampered by the most kind and
considerate people - so much so that we were made to feel like part of the family. All this and tigers too!
Plus birds in numbers beyond counting. So - thanks you all for a lifetime experience’,
Jane Bridges, Kathy & Julian Donahue, USA
Seeing the Great Hornbill when we arrived and again when we are preparing to depart is but an example of
the hospitality – bird style – you have offered us here. This camp is a delightful place, comfortable,
enlightening and charming. We thank you.

‘The legend associated with the Forktail bird is that it is the litmus of a pure water source. To us, Forktail
Creek is a litmus of individual attempt to retain the purity of the environment…so here’s wishing you survive
& thrive!’.
Karen deYoung, USA
Most memorable experience of my life! 2 days on elephant alone in the jungle at Lohacahur. Heard tiger
roaring for a long time. Thrilling 3 days in Dhikala- fantastic. Saw tiger in bush and tiger running in clearing.
3 nights in Camp, our time was magical. Staff is most gracious and attentive. Food very delicious. Guide
Bacchi found abundant wildlife and many elephant sightings including a new baby. Very excellent guide.
Driver Pratap was the best and helpful. They made the trip more than expected. I will never forget this trip
of a lifetime! Will be back for sure.
Anne Hopkinson & Neil Dorrington
‘A brilliant time - full of such memorable experiences! Imagine a wild bull elephant outside your mud hut or
your first sighting of a wild tiger at Corbett! (And that’s without a protective matriarch charging you or
Govind’s face in the jewellery shop!!) Min’s chocolate cake for our anniversary was so fantastic, I am trying
to work out how she can send some to England on a weekly basis J ! Thanks to Conan, Dipu, Govind & not
forgetting Sugar(Shuvro) for looking after us so well’.

‘The best holiday we ever had. This place has a soul - sacred and happy and makes you connect with
yourself. The people, the food, the dogs and the hospitality - everything is just wonderful!

We only stayed two days, but the camp is wonderful – and we plan to return using Camp Forktail as a base
to explore the National Park. Thanks so much to everyone fro organising our five-day trek and elephant
safari. The food was excellent and your company was a great pleasure. We like the camp rule that
everybody must sing a folk song from their country around the fire – we’ll learn more and bring a guitar next
time.
Arthur Potton, United Kingdom
The situation of your camp below the hills is very beautiful. The comfort of your accommodation rivals some
of the African camps we have visited. No-where have we found more attentive, helpful and friendly staff,
and the best way to eat dinner is to share their company around the campfire. We thank our guide
particularly for an interesting walk up the Nullah.

Forktail Creek makes me wonder if I can ever live in the city again. Great hosts; home cooked food; roaring
bonfires- there are so many fond memories…Thank you Ritish, Minakshi, Harish, Kunwar and all the others
who make me want to stay on.
Fumie Otsu, Tokyo
Even my stay here is too short for 2 nights. I had really good time. Nature is well conserved and beautiful.
Staff is very kind, friendly and also know much about wildlife. I learnt a lot and am impressed with the good
food. If I had a chance I would like to visit again and stay longer.
Mike and Claire Hill, UK
The climax of our fantastic visit to India! Camp has surpassed all of our expectations. Very clean and
peaceful surroundings. Food is superb and definitely the best we have had all trip, beating any five star
hotel. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, attentive- we should have stayed longer.
Michael Bishop, USA
Camp Forktail Creek was an experience of a lifetime. On our next trip we’ll surely make our stay at least
two weeks. Harish was a perfect coordinator of the entire experience. Anil (our wilderness guide) was also
an exceptional professional. He took time and had the expertise to make each trek a genuine spiritual
experience. On a scale of 1 to 10, I rate CFC a 20!!!
Andrew Stead, UK
Fantastic bhulla! What a great Camp. Came as tourists and leaving as awesome friends. Thanks for
everything.

Beyond all expectations. 8 tigers in 4 days with a final sighting out of the ‘picture book’. Staff at Camp
superb + friendly with K.D being a star. We look forward to returning your hospitality if you are in UK.
Our stay at Camp Forktail could not have been more enjoyable or rewarding…we would recommend it to our
many friends who like us are experienced eco travellers to many different parts of the world…….your guides
who planned and accompanied us on the game drives and Elephant safaris into the national park could not
have been more, friendly, knowledgeable or patient. To experience, as we did, the sights and sounds of a
tigress charging a group of elephants is a picture locked in our minds for ever. To watch the wildlife of the
Corbett Park and the surrounding area from the back of elephant or from one of Camp Forktail’s safari
vehicles was an exhilarating experience.
We particularly liked the way that you have employed and involved the local families who live in the village
of Bhakrakot where your camp is. The warmth of reception we experienced on returning to the Camp each
evening and the excellent food and all round service is testimony to your involving local families…our
warmest regards and thanks for an unforgettable experience.

If things don’t work out in the US for me – I’d come back to work for you guys! Loved it…
Gagan & Madhavi Mehra, New Delhi

I don’t have words to express the fun I had here. This is my favourite camp and I like the people who are
here. I love the surroundings and I DO NOT WANT TO LEAVE!!!

Paradise found here at Corbett Tiger Reserve. I can’t explain what a wonderful experience I have had. The
Camp is not only set in the most stunning location, but the hospitality of Ritish and Minakshi far out
measures the best. Although I did have 2 sightings of a tiger, that was not the highlight of my trip. It was
the warmth and generosity that I found here at Camp Forktail Creek that will remain as an undeletable
memory for me.
You will always be welcome in my home…
Richard, Homeless
Food was great,
Lots of nice things I ate.
Fire was nice,
So was the curry with rice.
There wasn’t even any rain,
I would like to come again!!
Chris and Jacky Mills, UK
Our 2nd stay- this remains a very special place with special people. The wildlife and birds in the Camp and
surrounding areas rival any of the other wonderful places in the world we have visited.
Four days in Corbett National Park produced 6 sightings of 5 tigers!! Plus fantastic birds, elephants,
mammals etc
The food and staff were all excellent. Special thanks to all of them.
We wish ‘Harry’ best of luck with his expanding list of birds- we hope he becomes a full fledged guide.
Emma and Joel Ferguson
Thank you so very much for having us here!! We have been made very welcome and looked after like
royalty. Both Joel and I have enjoyed every minute. It was also a great experience to have actually seen a
tiger!! All the guide books + websites we have researched explained how rare the chances of seeing a tiger
is! Also I would like to thank you for your super website, without it we would not have found this lovely
place.
On a final note, for anyone reading this who has just arrived at Forktail Creek- just relax and enjoy the
experience!!
If any of you at Forktail ever visit the UK please let us know.
Sonia and Andy Coleman
Thank you for a great time. The location was great, the food excellent and the staff even better. You are
so friendly and helpful with great knowledge, specially Harish- thank you for the tiger charge. Never to be
forgotten.
Stig Jarlevik & Marit Hagel, Sweden
"All the hotels were quite OK, but the tented camp in Corbett National Park (Camp Forktail Creek) exceeded
everything else. Such an extremely pleasant place! Everything there was excellent: the charming owners,
the tent and its equipment, the staff, the vehicles, all the food (we liked the food everywhere, but in a few
other places some of the dishes were a little bit too hot for Marit’s sensitive taste), the animal life around
it, everything! A real high-quality camp. A real highlight was the excursion by foot near the camp itself
which was both fascinating and exciting, meeting, as we did, a wild elephant and watching the remnants of
a tiger’s feast…."
Caron Ashworth, United Kingdom
WOW! Can I come and live and work with you guys?
Talk about paradise…
What more could anyone wish for??? It’s all right here!
Thank you for such and absolutely fantastic stay everyone- I’ll be back.
